Tyler Childers gets it right on country and perils of Nashville

Tyler Childers, in an interview posted on Spotify, pegged the new Nashville in a perfect way. He said of the city that is “the largest growing and developing city in the nation”, one traditionally known for country music, “Once you’re immersed in that, then there’s just a disconnect to the reality of what country life is.” In my opinion, Childers gets it right. Shania Twain joins critics of radio content

If you read here at Indie Art South, you know how I feel about radio content. Regardless of genre, it all sounds the same to me. Country, pop, rock, and rap have all been homogenized in the interest of profit. That’s perfectly legal, but also perfectly boring.
