Gov. Ron DeSantis is greenlighting businesses in Florida as Phase 2 reopenings begin. The indie music sector will welcome the opening of bars and pubs, but the venues must stay at 50 percent of capacity for areas inside. DeSantis made the announcement on June 3 at Universal Orlando. Bands know what it’s like to be on the physical road, traveling from city to city for shows. With many cities canceling live music events, musicians are now traveling a different kind of road.
It’s been awhile since the last personal update about The Crazy Daysies, so there’s lots to report.
Rebecca Day and Jennifer Day Thompson have had a chaotic year so far, and it doesn’t look like things will calm down anytime soon. Jenn and her husband David welcomed a new addition to their family, and there’s never a dull moment with a six-month-old and an almost four-year-old around. Good news came in this week as the sisters learned their music would be featured on another radio station. We finally have a publication date for Rebecca’s novel.
