The Jason Evans Band hopped on the livestream circuit with a tight performance on Saturday. The show was broadcast live to Facebook from Whiskey Jax at Jacksonville Beach (Florida). Fans tuned in, and for a donation, you could hear a favorite. The production was very slick, with an emcee and the feel of a public education fundraiser. I personally loved it. Friday music: Live from Green Cove Springs to Fernandina Beach

Live music is one of North Florida’s best kept secrets, and this Friday there’s lots to choose from in the area where I live. One of my favorite bands is playing tonight in Fruit Cove, and one of my favorite wine bars in Green Cove Springs will rock to tunes by an accomplished musician. Five indies heat up summer with classical crossover, Nicks tribute band, and more

Ever paid double digits for a concert and been disappointed? I have. I’ve also said you can often hear better music on the indie scene than you’ll hear on your device of choice. In writing about indies, I’ve come across bands whose level of professionalism and talent makes them worth following. Second Sundays got a rain reprieve in Springfield

People began to take a listening spot as Second Sundays in Springfield got underway.

On Sunday, Rebecca was scheduled to open for Cain’t Never Could as part of festivities for Second Sundays in Springfield. We planned to go, but by late morning, our Mandarin community south of Jax was getting heavy showers and a light show. For a couple hours, it looked like the event at Klutho Park located north of Jacksonville wouldn’t be possible.

Seasoned in Nashville, Jason Evans aims for ‘stomp those boots’

Jason Evans is a seasoned veteran of Nashville, having played with country stars having and co-written popular songs.
