I can’t tell you how excited I was this morning to see that Hoby’s now delivers locally. We are almost out of the honey my husband got me for Christmas, and no one does honey better than Hoby’s. The only honey we like as much is made by a friend of ours, Jamie Hooten, in upstate Carolina. Surfing the Web today, I also noticed Brick Oven Pizzeria in Orange Park and Taziki’s Mediterranean in Mandarin are persevering to keep the doors open in what I see as the most difficult economic environment in my lifetime. Red’s Wine Bar—another reason Clay County should be called ‘Musicville’

Saturday evening Rebecca had planned a rare weekend night off. Her husband Joshua had received an award at work, and she thought we had a great opportunity to celebrate that and take in some music together. So we headed out to Green Cove Springs to a place we’d heard about but hadn’t had a chance to visit—Red’s Wine Bar in Green Cove Springs.
