Bands across the country are coping with Coronavirus mandates. One award-winning band in Michigan got creative in a new kind of way.

An email from Paradise Outlaw guitarist and vocalist Kevin Langeland summed up what so many indie musicians are experiencing right now—“Bars are shut down—again.” Langeland, like others, misses performing and practicing. Before you read another word, I’ll admit I love Billy Buchanan’s voice and style, and I think the music he performs is probably the greatest this country produced in my lifetime. So if you expect me to be objective, ditch that expectation. Smedley brothers’ Eternal Odyssey CD now ready for pre-order

The CD Awakening featuring brothers Kent and Brent Smedley performing as Eternal Odyssey is now available for pre-order from EMP Label Group. The estimated shipping date is April 12. The CD features nine songs in keeping with the band’s melodic metal/hard rock aesthetic. ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ film knocks critics to the curb

Last night I watched the film Bohemian Rhapsody. I tried to hold my bias in check because the music of Freddie Mercury and Queen remain among my all time favorites. I didn’t know what to expect.
