In life there are those quirky moments you remember simply because they’re quirky. I was traveling to Fernandina Beach with Rebecca. She was playing tunes with Wes Goode at The Green Turtle. I was doing a bit of work while she drove when I saw the truck. Right in front of us. The back had a slogan: “best coffee on the interstate.” I realized I was drinking the same kind of coffee the truck was advertising. Red’s Wine Bar—another reason Clay County should be called ‘Musicville’

Saturday evening Rebecca had planned a rare weekend night off. Her husband Joshua had received an award at work, and she thought we had a great opportunity to celebrate that and take in some music together. So we headed out to Green Cove Springs to a place we’d heard about but hadn’t had a chance to visit—Red’s Wine Bar in Green Cove Springs. Historical Society of Orange Park celebrates woman who gave back to gem of a city

How much do you know about Orange Park? Personally speaking, I learned a lot after Rebecca told me she will play a set for the Historical Society of Orange Park’s Carrie Clarke Day celebration on Saturday. We came close to settling in Orange Park after moving to Florida years ago, but I didn’t know much about the history. I still don’t know much, but what I did learn is very interesting. It’s happened to me and I’d bet it’s happened to you. You’re listening to the radio or to your favorite stream service and a top charted song plays. You may think this top song isn’t all that great, and it’s by an up and comer. You ask yourself how that song even got released much less moved quickly to the top of the charts.
