Filmmaker F. C. Rabbath is on a roll. Less than a year ago one of his films was picked up by Gravitas Ventures. Rabbath just learned his latest film was selected by the Montreal Independent Film Festival. The Florida-based filmmaker wasted no time in wrapping one film and beginning the next. (Article continues after film trailer.)

Gravitas picked up the film A Brilliant Monster in 2019, and it received favorable responses from sites like Deadline. The film had premiered at the Dances with Films Festival in Los Angeles.

As soon as he wrapped A Brilliant Monster, Rabbath set to work on The Waiting. A trailer has just been released on Rabbath’s YouTube channel where you’ll also find behind-the-scenes videos and content featuring his other works.

Rabbath told Indie Art South in 2019 he spends most of his time between Tallahassee and Orlando, calling himself “a nomad.”

Jacksonville’s Jared Rush who heads up Third Man Entertainment was an executive producer for The Waiting, and he did a cameo role as well.

The Montreal Independent Film Festival self-describes as “qualifying festival dedicated to international and Canadian shorts and features of all genres.” The fact it’s an international body suggests competition is keen.

Keep up with the film’s progress on Facebook. According to IMDb, the film will be released in December, 2020.
