Billy Buchanan is one of those musicians with a unique voice you will remember. The ‘Ambassador of Rock ‘n Soul’ just announced a Facebook Live show for March 31.
Like many other working musicians, Buchanan is facing challenges from the Coronavirus slowdown. The independent music sector is one of the hardest hit as entertainment venues shut down and large group gatherings like weddings and corporate events are canceled. Courtesy of technology, Buchanan’s music doesn’t have to go silent.
The Florida singer-songwriter does both solo and band shows, drawing on what many believe is the golden age of modern American music. He draws on the repertoire of gold standard artists like Ray Charles, The Drifters, Sam Cooke, Chuck Berry, and the iconic Motown music that remains among the best this country has ever produced.
Buchanan has an extensive ‘resume’ including performances with artists like Rebecca St. James.
Buchanan goes Facebook Live on Tuesday, March 31, at 8 PM EDT. Tune in and if you possibly can, hit that tip jar. Working musicians are facing one of the toughest challenges right now, and every little bit helps.
